asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether his attention has been called to a speech of the Minister for Agriculture at Wexford on May 28th, wherein he referred to the buying of cattle for home consumption at 15/- per cwt. and charging for beef as if 30/- per cwt. were paid for it, and whether any representations or complaints have been made by or on behalf of the Minister for Agriculture to the Commission on Prices to take such action as may be deemed necessary, and whether any investigations have been made or are in progress in connection with the retail prices of meat.

My attention had not been called to the statement alleged to have been made by the Minister for Agriculture at Wexford on May 28th. No representations or complaints have been made to me or to the Commission in this matter by the Minister for Agriculture.
