asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the amounts of grants being withheld from each county council in the Saorstát for the current year for unpaid annuities at the 17th February, giving separate figures for annuities payable under the Acts passed previous to and subsequent to the passing of the Land Act, 1923.

The amounts of local taxation grants withheld from the several counties at the 17th February, 1934 and 17th February, 1935, respectively, are set out hereunder. Separate figures for annuities payable under Acts passed previous to and subsequent to 1923 could only be taken out by the Land Commission with a very great expenditure of time, which does not seem justified.
