Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Alleged Attacks in Kerry and Clare.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the masked and armed men who attempted to hold up and rob an insurance inspector between Listowel and Abbeyfeale on Tuesday, 27th November last, have been identified and charged, and, if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged, and if convicted what punishment was imposed and whether the arms carried on the occasion have been traced and taken possession of by the police.

In this case the police report that no hold-up took place.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state whether the armed and masked men who forcibly entered the home of Daniel McAllen, of Gortaveha, Feakle, Co. Clare, on the 3rd November last, and wounded Mr. McAllen, have been identified and charged, and, if so, if he will state before what type of court they were charged, and if convicted what punishment was imposed, and whether the arms used on the occasion have been traced and taken possession of by the police.

Two persons are awaiting trial before the Central Criminal Court in connection with this outrage.
