NOTE.— The export of Wheat Offals except under Licence was prohibited as from 11th June, 1934. The only exports of Wheat Offals after June, 1934, were 13,572 cwt. of Bran, value £2,512, in July, and 120 cwt. of Bran, value £25, in August, 1934.

Will the Minister inform the House as to whether he intends to implement the undertaking he gave when sponsoring the cereals legislation that the offals of wheat milling would be made available for the farmers at a cheaper price than they were ever available before?

Dr. Ryan

Yes, that has been done.

Is the Minister aware that the price of white pollard and white bran to-day is higher than it has been for a very long time?

Dr. Ryan

I am aware that the price of pollard and bran is lower here than in Liverpool for the first time in history.

Where did the Minister get that information?

Dr. Ryan

From a very reliable source, not like the Deputy.
