asked the Minister for Lands if the stock and machinery figures to 31st March, 1935, are yet available for the Gaeltacht services, and if he will state to what purpose the difference between the sum realised in the sales of the products of rural industries and the amount estimated to be received from such sales in the year ended 31st March, 1935, is to be applied.

The stock of materials and goods, machines, etc., under the control of the Gaeltacht Services Division of the Department of Lands was taken as at 31st March last. The actual figures revealed by the stocktaking are under examination at present, but owing to the process of reorganisation it has not been found practicable to complete the appropriate figures in respect of the actual survey. These figures will be conveyed to the Deputy as soon as the calculations are complete. The difference between the actual sum realised and the amount estimated to be received by way of Appropriations-in-Aid will be included in the surplus on the Vote to be surrendered to the Exchequer in the usual way.
