2. Other Exchequer payments. The total of £569,020 19s. 5d. includes £538,140 16s. 11d. funded annuities and payments in respect of (a) relief schemes, and (b) minor arterial drainage schemes. The balance of £550,000 went to urban district councils.
3. There are Exchequer payments made to county councils by the Department of Finance which are not included in this statement, such as bounty in lieu of rates, recoupment of expenses of prosecutors and witnesses, etc. If the Deputy wants a full statement he should address his question to the Minister for Finance.
