The total cost of administering the Unemployment Insurance Acts (including the Labour Exchanges Act) together with the Unemployment Assistance Acts was as follows:— 1934/35, £306,038; 1935/36, £381,118. For the information of the Deputy I may add that the cost of administration in 1933-34, prior to the coming into effective operation of the Unemployment Assistance Act, was £161,791.
