Vol. 63 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Unemployment in Emly.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the widespread unemployment in and surrounding Emly, he will expedite the drainage of the Camogue and Ballyvistea Rivers inspected last year and also the provision of a sanitary sewerage system for the town, the present one having been condemned.

Preliminary reports on the drainage works referred to have been received and will be considered on their merits in connection with the employment programme, in so far as may be consistent with the provisions of existing drainage legislation. The sanitary sewerage scheme for the town of Emly is a matter for the Minister for Local Government and Public Health.
