asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that a large number of persons in County Limerick did not make application in the time prescribed for repayment of their subscriptions to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan, 1919; and, if so, if he will extend the time for the receipt of such applications with a view to enabling payment to be made to those concerned.

A few applications for repayment of subscriptions to the Dáil Eireann Loan (Internal), 1919-20, have been received from persons in County Limerick since the expiration of the time prescribed by Section 6 of the Dáil Eireann Loans and Funds (Amendment) Act, 1933. The time limit for such applications was at first fixed as the 31st March, 1925, and the date was extended from time to time until, by the Act of 1933, it was definitely fixed as the 31st March, 1934. In view of these facts I am not prepared to introduce proposals for legislation further to extend the time.
