A proposal for a waterworks scheme for this village was before the board of health in 1933. At that time the necessity for the scheme does not appear to have been fully established. No plans were submitted to the Department. The county medical officer of health has recently advised that waterworks schemes for two other areas in the county are more urgent on grounds of public health.
