Vol. 65 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Applications of Offaly Plotholders.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the present position of the Land Commission concerning repeated applications made by or on behalf of about 60 plotholders on the estate of the Earl of Rosse, adjoining the town of Birr, County Offaly.

Mr. Boland

Application has been made to the Land Commission by 42 tenants on the estate of the Earl of Rosse for the inclusion under the Land Acts of lands held by them near the town of Birr. The matter is still under investigation.

Can the Minister say how long the matter will be under investigation or consideration?

Mr. Boland

I could not say.
