asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state in respect of each of the years 1923, 1926, 1929, 1932, 1935 and 1936 (a) the number of telephones installed in private residences, (b) the number installed in business premises, and (c) the number of telephone calls distinguishing between local calls, internal trunk calls and external calls.

The reply, which is in the form of a tabular statement, will be circulated to the Deputy and inserted in the records of the House.
