Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Trades Boards.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the trades in respect of which Trades Boards have been established and are now functioning, and further whether he will state the number and titles, if any, of the District Trade Committees established under the Trade Boards Acts.

The trades in respect of which Trades Boards are functioning are:—Aerated waters, boot and shoe repairing, brush and broom, button-making, general waste materials reclamation, handkerchief and household piece goods, linen and cotton embroidery, packing, paper box, rope, twine and net, shirtmaking, sugar confectionery and food preserving, tailoring, tobacco, women's clothing and millinery.

The Shirtmaking Trade Board has established a District Trade Committee for the area of the County of Donegal. This is the only District Trade Committee established under the Trade Boards Acts, 1909 and 1918.
