Vol. 66 No. 3

Business of Dáil.

It is proposed to take business as on the Order Paper, Nos. 1 to 3 inclusive, and Estimates Nos. 41 to 69 inclusive. Public Business will not be interrupted to take Private Deputies' Business at 9 o'clock.

Will the Minister say whether it is proposed to sit on Friday?

That has not been decided yet. It will depend on how the business proposed for to-morrow will be dealt with.

Can the Minister give us any information as to when Private Deputies time will again be available?

It is not common at this time of the year, while financial business is under discussion, to give time for Private Deputies' business but I understand that some arrangement is to be made to take certain Private Deputies' business which Deputy Norton has already initiated.

May I submit to the House that neither is it common at this time of the year for the House to sit only two days per week? When business is so slight as to allow us to sit for only two days a week there is no reason for refusing time for Private Deputies' business.

Could the Minister give us any indication as to when we can get Private Deputies' time again?

I cannot do so at the moment but I shall have inquiries made.

Would the Minister consider giving Private Deputies' time on Friday of this week?

If the House expresses any special wish to sit on Friday to deal with Private Members' business I shall be glad to consider it.
