Vol. 66 No. 11

Written Answers. - Acquisition of County Limerick Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made by the Land Commission in connection with the acquisition of the Stoney estate, Stradbally, Castleconnell, County Limerick, and when this estate will be divided for the relief of local congestion.

The Stoney estate in question appears to comprise the holdings of Thomas Johnston Stoney, deceased, on the estate of Stoney and Burkett, County Limerick, Record No. S.3410. The question of the acquisition of these lands is under consideration by the Land Commission but at the present stage of proceedings it is not possible to anticipate a decision.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what is the present position regarding the acquisition of the Morley estate, Clareville, County Limerick; whether this estate has yet been acquired; and, if not, whether its acquisition will be expedited to relieve the congestion existing in the area.

Mr. Boland

The estate referred to by the Deputy cannot be identified from the description given. There is no townland of "Clareville" in County Limerick.
