Vol. 68 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Lands in County Tipperary.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have taken over the O'Connor estate at Knockcarron, Emly, County Tipperary, and, if so, when will it be divided for the relief of the congests in the district.

The question appears to refer to the lands of Moanmore, in the occupation of Michael O'Connor. The Land Commission have had an inspection made of this estate and they have decided to issue an offer for the purchase of the lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what is the position regarding the Ryan estate, Ballyholohan, Emly, County Tipperary; if it has been acquired by the Land Commission, and, if so, when will it be divided, and, if not, what steps have been taken to have it acquired and divided.

Mr. Boland

The Land Commission have had an inspection made of the lands of Ballyholohan East and West, Bartoose, Drumcomoge and Scarteen, on the estate of John J. Ryan, and they have decided to issue an offer for the purchase of part of the lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware of the delay that has taken place in connection with the acquisition and division of the Green estate, Cappamurragh and Drummonclara, Dundrum, County Tipperary; if he will state what the present position now is in connection with this estate, and when it will be acquired and divided.

Mr. Boland

I have nothing to add at present to the reply given to the Deputy's previous question, on the 7th April last, in regard to these lands. The proceedings for resumption must take their normal course.
