Yes, Sir. With your permission, I beg to move for leave to introduce a Bill relating to the dissolution of a body known as the Board of Superintendence of Dublin Hospitals. This board has been quiescent for a number of years. There is only one hospital now with which it really has anything to do and that is the Locke Hospital. We are anxious to get that Board of Superintendence formally and legally dissolved. If the House has no objection, I should like to have the First Reading to-day. We can, then, have the Bill circulated and take the further stages on Monday.
More than the board has been quiescent in this matter apparently.
Is there anybody acting as a secretary of this board?
Yes.
Is he to be "fired?"
His position will be safeguarded.
We cannot pledge ourselves as yet to agree to the further stages on Monday.
