Vol. 69 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Edenderry Sewerage Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the present position of his Department regarding the proposal of the Offaly Board of Health for the provision of a sewerage scheme for Edenderry, Offaly.

Consideration of the scheme proposed by the Offaly Board of Health has been held up pending arrangements being made by the Edenderry Town Commissioners for the repayment of arrears of loans advanced to the commissioners for housing schemes.

If the Edenderry Town Commissioners will not meet the wishes of the Department in regard to repayment of loans, does that mean that the scheme will be held up indefinitely?

That is another question.

It is one that should be considered.
