Vol. 69 No. 8

Written Answers. - Boundaries of County Mayo Holding.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state why, despite the fact that the owner personally has applied many times to the Irish Land Commission and other applications have been made on his behalf to have the matter dealt with, the Irish Land Commission have neglected to define the boundaries of the holding of Mr. Patrick Varley of Cross, Claremorris, situate in the townland of Dowagh East, Blake estate, County Mayo, C.D.B. No. 224, and whether it is the intention of the Irish Land Commission to define the boundaries of this holding forthwith; and, if so, on what date.

Mr. Boland

A vesting order under the provisions of Section 28 Land Act, 1931 was published for the holding of Mr. Patrick Varley and other tenants on the estate of C.D.B. (E. J. N. Blake).

One of these tenants whose holding adjoins Mr. Varley's has lodged an objection to the vesting order on the grounds that the boundaries of his holding as shown on map are incorrect.

Pending the hearing of this objection before the Land Commissioners the boundaries of Mr. Varley's holding cannot be defined but the matter will be listed for hearing at an early date.
