Vol. 69 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Pensions (Kerry)

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that a large number of men who applied under the Military Service Pensions Act for service pensions in the Kerry No. 3 and No. 2 Brigade areas, have not yet been called for examination before the pensions board, and if he is further aware that these men are in very poor circumstances and will he take steps to have these men called for examination at an early date.

The position of applicants from the Kerry Nos. 2 and 3 Brigade areas is the same as that of applicants from other areas. A number of those recommended by the brigade committees have been examined. As in other areas there are considerable numbers who have not been examined, but every effort is being made to deal with them as quickly as possible.
