The amounts of levies due on 31st March, 1938, under the Slaughter of Cattle and Sheep Acts, 1934-36, are given are for the geographical counties and include the levies in respect of boroughs and county boroughs, e.g., the figures for the County Borough of Dublin are included in the sum of £3,469 13s. 10d. shown in the table opposite "Dublin." Separate figures for the county boroughs are not readily available.

The Acts do not give power to remit any of the levy that fell due, but payment of outstanding levy is and will continue to be accepted in monthly instalments, provided that the amount of the instalment bears a reasonable proportion to the total sum due.
