Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - National Health Insurance Operations in 1938.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state in respect of the year 1938, (1) the total National Health Insurance contributions of employers and employed persons, (2) the total State grant received, (3) the gross total of receipts, (4) the total amount paid for (a) benefits and (b) administration, (5) the gross total of payments, and (6) the amount of accumulated funds at the end of the year.

The following is the information required in respect of the year 1938:—

(1) Total National Health Insurance contributions of employers and employed persons

(3) Gross total receipts including interest, &c.

Arising out of the Minister's reply, would he say if he has available conveniently the amount of the State grant referred to in question No. 2, as distinct from the cost of central administration?

The central administration is £46,611. That figure is given separately.

That is under question No. 4. I am referring to question No. 2.
