Vol. 76 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - South Mayo Drainage.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that the farmers living in the townlands of Carrowkeel, Cahir and Derrymore, South Mayo, have sustained considerable damage to their crops through the periodical flooding caused by the overflow from Carrowkeel lake; that provision for the drainage of the tributary from that lake through the above townlands to the River Robe is included in the River Robe drainage scheme; and, if he will state the cause of the delay by the Commissioners of Public Works in having the drainage of that tributary carried out.

I would refer the Deputy to the answer given to the question put by him on 2nd February, 1938, to which I have nothing to add.
