Vol. 76 No. 3

Ceisteanna-Questions. Oral Answers. - The Military Service Pensions Act, 1934.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state when a decision will be conveyed to Mr. Michael Dunne, William Street, Athy, County Kildare, in respect of his application for a pension under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934.

As the referee has not yet reported on Mr. Dunne's application, I regret that I am not in a position to state when a decision will be conveyed to the applicant.

In view of the fact that the applicant in this case appeared before the board one year and nine months ago, and that the board in the meantime ought to have had ample time to consider all the circumstances of his case, will the Minister indicate when it is likely that this applicant will receive a decision on his case?

I am not in a position to say.

Arising out of the Minister's reply will he say whether any decision of any kind has been conveyed to any applicant under the Military Service Pensions Act?

The Deputy must not have been following the proceedings in the Dáil if he thinks it necessary to get an answer to that question.
