Insurance (Intermittent Unemployment) Bill, 1939—First Stage.
Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to provide for manual workers employed in the building trade insurance against intermittent unemployment resulting from stoppages of work due to inelement weather, to provide for the extension of such insurance to manual workers employed in other trades, and to provide for other matters connected with the matters aforesaid.—(Minister for Industry and Commerce.)
