Vol. 78 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sale of County Mayo Holding.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the holding of Mary Larkin, Lissitava, Hollymount, County Mayo, Congested Districts Board Sligo estate, comprising an area of 7 acres, 0 roods, 20 perches, was sold at public auction for £185 in June, 1938; that the Land Commission refused to sanction sale, and on November 4th, 1938, published a notice of intention to apply to the Appeal Tribunal for leave to resume the holding unless a petition against resumption was duly presented by the tenant; that no petition was presented by Miss Larkin; and if he will now state the cause of delay in paying Miss Larkin for her holding.

This case is being dealt with at the moment and proceedings for resumption should be completed at an early date.
