asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is now in a position to state when it is proposed to release for publication the reports of the Tribunal of Inquiry on Public Transport presented to his Department on 4th and 11st August, 1939; and if he is aware that rail and road interest, both capital and labour, are seriously concerned regarding the future of transport and are anxious to be in possession of the recommendations of the tribunal.

I am not yet in a position to indicate when the reports received from the Transport Tribunal will be published, as the consultations with other Departments to which I referred in my reply to the Deputy's question on 8th November last have not yet concluded.
In view of the fact that we had an assurance last year that legislation would be introduced following the receipt of the report by the Government and in view of the fact that that report has now been under consideration by them for the past six months, perhaps the Minister would say definitely when it will be published?
I hope it will be published at an early date. I cannot say more than that.
