Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of County Cork Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that representations have been made on behalf of uneconomic holders and workers for the acquisition by the Land Commission of a holding at Waterloo, Lombardstown, Mallow, County Cork, and if he will state whether any action has been taken or is proposed, and what the present position is.

The Land Commission have received representations regarding the acquisition of a holding at Waterloo, Lombardstown, Mallow, in the ownership of Mr. Timothy J. Sheehan. There are no proceedings in the Land Commission in respect of this holding, and having regard to the emergency conditions now obtaining they do not propose to take any action for the present.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made towards the acquisition of the Warrenscourt estate, Lissarda, County Cork.

The Land Commission have made an offer for the purchase of part of the Warrenscourt estate in the occupation of Denis and Julia Duggan and this offer has not yet been accepted or refused.
