Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Military Service Pensions.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will state the number of applications received for pensions under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, the number of persons of each military rank to whom pensions have been granted, the average rate of pension in each rank, and the annual cost of such pensions.

The figures which make up the reply will be circulated with the Official Report.

Following is the reply:—The number of applications received for pensions under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, is 59,308. The number of pensions granted under the various grades is as follows:—
