Vol. 80 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Postal Facilities in County Cavan.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he has received an application for an every day delivery of mails by the people of the townlands of Aughnacor, Bohena, Crenagh, Condy, Drumcullion, Drumanor, Drumbullion, Oselna, Drumkilrooke, Drumrere, Drumless and Tully, in the Derrylane district near Killeshandra; and if in view of the amount of correspondence in the district he will favourably consider the application.

I have received the application referred to together with representations by Deputy Sheridan on the same matter. I regret, however, that as the postal service in the district is already carried on at a loss, the additional expense which any increase in the existing frequency of delivery would involve would not be warranted.
