Vol. 80 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Pension Claims.

Eamonn O Ciosáin

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that several applicants for military service pensions from Listowel, Ballybunion, Ballylongford, Newtownsandes and other districts in North Kerry were called before the board over 12 months ago and have heard nothing re their claims since, and, if so, if he will state the cause of the delay in all these cases.

I understand from the referee that the position is as outlined in the first part of the Deputy's question and that the delay is due to the fact that the local brigade officers have not yet furnished to the referee the necessary records and information which would enable him to report on these applications.
