Vol. 82 No. 3

Order of Business.

Business will be as on the Order Paper, namely, item No. 3.

There is a standing order which prescribes three hours for Private Deputies' motions.

I move that Standing Order No. 80A be suspended.

Question put and agreed to.

The House is presumably familiar with the procedure. The motion in the name of Deputy Norton will be moved and formally seconded; then the amendment will be moved. Motion and amendment will be debated together. If divisions are challenged, the amendment will be put first, and then the motion as it stands, or as amended.

Will there be an opportunity for a reply at the end?

There certainly should be.

Will there be an opportunity for a reply both on the motion and on the amendment?

On the motion only.
