Vol. 83 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cost of Advertising.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state for each financial year since 1922-3 up to the present the amount of money expended by the Government on newspaper advertising distinguishing for each year the amount spent on advertising in newspapers printed within as contrasted with those printed outside the Twenty-Six Counties.

The preparation of material for a reply to the Deputy's question involves considerable research and consultation with a number of Departments. The work is in hands and the information required will be communicated to the Deputy as soon as possible. I am informed that the compilation of particulars may take up to a fortnight as these particulars are not as regards earlier years readily available in the form asked for by the Deputy.
