If the Deputy refers to Table No. III circulated in connection with the Financial Statement, 1942, he will see that the total gross liabilities of the State on the 31st March, 1942, amounted to £90,223,000, including the estimated capital value of the State contributions under the Housing Acts. The interest charge in respect of these liabilities in the financial year which ended on that date was £3,336,000 approximately.
