Vol. 87 No. 17

Written Answer. - Military Service Pension Claims.

asked the Minister for Defence if he will be pleased to re-open for verification and final decision the cases of (1) Mr. Robert Triggs, Coorloum East, Coomhoola, Bantry, and (2) Mr. John Marshall, North Main Street, Bandon, who are claimants for pensions under the Military Service Pensions Acts.

In the case of the application made under the Military Service Pensions Act, 1934, by Mr. Robert Triggs, Coorloum East, Coomhoola, Bantry, statutory notification of the finding of the referee that he was not a person to whom the Act applied was issued to him on the 29th July, 1941. No appeal was lodged by applicant within the statutory period afforded, and the referee accordingly made his report to me. The report is final, conclusive and binding in accordance with the provisions of the Act, and I do not propose to re-open the case. The referee has not yet reported to me on the appeal made under the Act by Mr. John Marshall, North Main Street, Bandon.
