The total sums paid into the Unemployment Fund by way of contributions between 1st October, 1922, and 1st October, 1942, are as follows:—

The sums paid out by way of unemployment benefit amounted to £13,374,022. The total sum appropriated in respect of cost of administration during the same period was £2,914,097. I may add that the accounts of the Unemployment Fund from the 1st April, 1922, to 31st March, 1941, have been published and are available to the Deputy.
