The above salaries are inclusive. In counties where the county secretary or county commissioner has been appointed county manager he retains his former rate of remuneration where such remuneration is higher than the salary shown above. The counties of Clare and Dublin are at present administered by Commissioners.
In the counties of Kerry, Mayo and Wicklow, and the grouped counties of Kilkenny, Waterford, Laoighis and Offaly, the county manager will retain his former rate of remuneration as county secretary or county commissioner as the case may be, this being higher than the salary fixed for county manager.
In Clare county the county council has been suspended and the first county manager has not yet been appointed.
In the grouped counties of Sligo-Leitrim a temporary manager is acting.
