Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sick Leave for Temporary Civil Servants.
Sick leave is granted to temporary female clerical assistants in accordance with general service regulations made by the Minister for Finance from time to time. At present, after a qualifying period of six months, these officers are granted sick leave on full pay, less a deduction equivalent to the maximum cash benefit payable under the National Health Insurance Acts, up to a maximum period of 10 weeks in any period of 12 months in the case of officers over 18 years of age. In the case of officers between the ages of 16½ and 18 years the maximum period is eight weeks in any period of 12 months.
