Vol. 91 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Westmeath Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state why the lands of Clonkeen, Tang, Ballymahon, County Westmeath, have not been divided among the local uneconomic land owners and cottage tenants; if he is aware that these lands are in the hands of the Land Commission for a number of years, and that poor people living down in the bogs with large families have to look for conacre at prices ranging from £5 10/- to £8 10/- per acre, and that most of these lands are used for grazing.

The Land Commission are not in possession of any lands in the townland of Clonkeen, County Westmeath.
