Representations have been made to me by the Electricity Supply Board in respect of the two matters referred to by the Deputy in his question. It is not proposed to amend the Electricity Supply Board (Superannuation) Act, 1942, in connection with the "prior service" of the board's employees, as the existing provisions of that Act are considered to be fair and reasonable. As regards the second matter, no amendment is necessary in connection with the board's powers in certain cases to give "added years" for pension purposes.
