I assume the Deputy is referring to muscatel raisins in the first part of his question. The retail prices charged for these raisins prior to the recent price Order ranged from about 1/9 per lb. to 2/3 per lb. and would probably have been increased over the Christmas period. I have fixed maximum wholesale and retail prices of 1/6 per lb. and 2/- per lb. respectively, these prices being arrived at on the basis of allowing reasonable profit margins to the wholesale and retail trades.
