It is not proposed at present to make any change in the amount of the statutory grants and loans payable under the Gaeltacht and other Housing Acts, but the question is kept in mind.
Is the Minister aware that, prior to the emergency, farmers and labourers in the Gaeltacht areas could erect houses in accordance with the Gaeltacht Housing Scheme at a cost of £200 per house, whereas it would now cost £400 to erect a similar type of house?
I am, of course, aware that the cost of housing has much increased.
