Vol. 95 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Removal of Banner.

asked the Minister for Justice whether he is aware that a banner with an inscription demanding a "32-County Partition and Republican Plebiscite" which had been erected across Russell Street adjacent to the Canal Bridge entrance to Croke Park for the All-Ireland Hurling Final on 3rd September, 1944, was removed at 6 a.m. by members of the Gárda Síochána, and if he will state on whose authority this action was taken, having regard to the fact that resolutions in support of this 32-county plebiscite have this year been passed by numerous county councils and public bodies including city corporations.
