I am aware that considerable quantities of escallops are being landed at Valentia Harbour. The improved methods for the marketing of escallops which are at present being tried out at Galway by the Sea Fisheries Association will have to be continued for a reasonable period before the directors of the association can consider the question of extending them to other areas.
