asked the Minister for Justice if he will state if he received a letter dated 24th October, 1944, from Mr. J.J. Byrnes, secretary, United Irish Leaseholders' Association, Dun Laoghaire, regarding certain proposals made by the association; and, if so, if he proposes to take action thereon, and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Leaseholders' Association Proposals.
The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. The proposals of the United Irish Leaseholders' Association have been, and still are, under consideration. I am not at the present in a position to make a statement in the matter.
Does the Minister hope to be in a position to make the statement at an early date?
Mr. Boland
I cannot say at the moment how soon I will be in a position to make a statement. The matter is under consideration, and that is all I can say.
