Vol. 96 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Sub-post Office.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state what were the special considerations which led him to select the location of the new sub-post office in Carndonagh, County Donegal.

The most suitable candidate was selected for the post and her premises are regarded as meeting adequately the requirements of the district.

May I point out that my question did not refer to the applicant or to the premises, but to the location of the premises? Will the Minister answer that point?

Having taken all the relevant facts into consideration, I decided that the candidate chosen was the most suitable.

Is the Minister aware that there has been considerable local disturbance about the position of the new post office? Has that been taken into consideration?

Will the Minister tell the House how the old age pensioners will get up the hill?

I can assure Deputies that all the facts were taken into consideration.

As I do not consider the Minister's answer satisfactory, I give notice of my intention to raise this matter on the Adjournment.
