I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a similar question addressed to me on the subject by him on 8th July, 1942. To that reply it is only necessary to add that unemployment assistance is non-contributory so far as the recipient is concerned.

There is no unemployment assistance fund. Unemployment assistance is paid from voted moneys.
