Vol. 97 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kildare Turbary Claim.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will state when it is proposed to pay compensation to Mr. William Shamp and Mr. James McCann, Drimsrea, Rathangan, County Kildare, in respect of turbary acquired from them last year.

The first case the Deputy has in mind appears to be that of Mr. William Champ, Drumsru, in which possession was taken of lands in 1942 and 1943. Certain payments by way of compensation have already been made to Mr. Champ and also to Mr. James McCann, Drumsru, whose case is of a similar nature, and the amounts at present outstanding by way of compensation will be paid without avoidable delay.
