Vol. 97 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Leather Supply for ex-Soldier.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he is aware that Thomas Kelly, of 12 Dodsboro Cottages, Lucan, who was discharged from the Army after four years' service and is a shoemaker by trade, has been refused a quota of leather in order to enable him to earn a livelihood; and that this man was serving his time to the shoemaking trade until he gave his services to the country in 1939; and, if so, if he will state if he will take steps to ensure that Mr. Kelly will receive an adequate quota of leather at an early date.

This case is being reconsidered and I will communicate my decision to the Deputy as soon as possible.
