As indicated in the published result of the Writing Assistants Examination, 1944, issued by the Stationery Office, the number of candidates who qualified in this examination was 538. The number of appointments which have been made is 52. It is not proposed to extend any further the list of successful candidates; the results of the current year's Writing Assistants Examination are expected to be available next month.
